Side Project Wines are a result, as good ideas often are, of animated discussion and cheeky, wine-fuelled dinners with friends.
We don't follow trends and fashion and since 2012, our non-conventional approach to wine making includes; wild fermentations, playing with clay amphora, open top barrel ferments, skin contact on whites, long macerations (up to 9 months!), chilled reds, no additives, finings and almost no preservatives. Weird, wacky wonderful, call them what you will!
Our Side Project gives us the opportunity of playing with varieties we love to drink, and producing wines that are fun, out-of-the-box and can be enjoyed with good food.
Our fruit is sourced from premium southern regions in Western Australia.
